- carved spruce top, arched maple back, maple sides, two f-holes, single bound top and back, three-piece maple/rosewood neck, 14/20-fret ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inlay, rosewood peghead veneer with pearl logo inlay, three-per-side diecast tuners, ebony bridge, trapeze tailpiece, raised bound black pickguard, available in Dark Red Sunburst finish, 16 in. body width, 24.5 in. scale, mfg. 1933-1949.
In 1936, an adjustable maple bridge and black plastic peghead veneer replaced the original design. By 1939, a three-stripe body binding, rosewood fingerboard, tortoiseshell tuner buttons, nickel-plated hardware, and Brown Sunburst finish became standard.
