GRETSCH SHO-BRO HAWAIIAN RESONATOR (MODEL 6031/7705) Description
- non-cutaway body, select spruce top, maple back and sides, large resonator with two small screened soundholes, multiple-bound top and back, laminated maple neck, 12/24-fret bound white celluloid fingerboard with playing card symbol inlays (hearts, clubs, etc.), bound headstock with "Sho Bro" logo (no Gretsch logo) and three-per-side tuners, combination metal bridge/trapeze tailpiece, chrome hardware, available in Natural finish, 16.5 in. body width, 4.5 in. body depth, 25.25 in. scale, mfg. 1969-1978.
This model was originally numbered 6031, but in 1971, it was renumbered 7705. A seven-string version was also available between 1972 and 1978 with 4/3-per-side tuners (Model 7710).
