- carved spruce top, carved flame maple back, flame maple sides, two double-bound cat's-eye soundholes, wide multiple-binding on top and back, five-piece maple/rosewood neck, 14/20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with hump block inlays, bound blackface headstock with indents above the E string tuners, pearl "Gretsch" logo on top and "Synchromatic" logo above the A and B-string tuners inlays, three-per-side chrome Grover tuners with engraved buttons, adj. stylized rosewood bridge, harp tailpiece, raised bound tortoiseshell pickguard, gold-plated hardware, available in Natural or Sunburst finish, 17 in. body width, 26 in. scale, mfg. 1939-1949.
