- Grand Auditorium body style, solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, round soundhole with three-stripe rosette (5/9/5 grouping), tortoise top and back binding, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with slotted diamond inlays, rosewood headstock overlay with raised gold foil logo, three-per-side chrome tuners, rosewood bridge, black bridge pins with pearl dots, tortoise pickguard, Natural satin finish, 24.9 in. scale, mfg. 1989-1995.

Refer to the 16 Series for the 000-16(T). The 000-16M designation only lasted for 1989 and in 1990 it was changed to the 000-16.
