- Grand Auditorium 0000 body style, solid Sitka spruce top, solid three-piece rosewood back, solid rosewood sides, round soundhole with three-stripe rosette (5/9/5 grouping), six-ply top binding, three-ply back binding with white outer layer, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, rosewood headstock overlay with gold foil logo, three-per-side chrome tuners, rosewood bridge, white bridge pins with black dots, tortoise pickguard, available in Natural finish, 25.4 in. scale, mfg. 1978-1996, reintroduced summer 2007-present.
This guitar was originally called the M-35, but after 26 guitars were produced, it was renamed the M-36.
