- double cutaway slide-and-lock poplar body with detachable poplar center block, available in six-string guitar (Model 6023), four-string bass (Model 6024), or double neck (Model 6025) configurations, bolt-on maple neck, 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlay, blackface headstock with logo with various tuner configurations, adj. ebony bridge, trapeze tailpiece, raised white pickguard with logo, one Hi-Lo 'Tron pickup, volume/tone control, chrome hardware, available in Black finish, mfg. 1961-62.
It is estimated that only thirty-five instruments were produced. The slide-and-lock body was referred to as a "Butterfly" back and is interchangeable with six-string or bass neck shafts. A "Double Butterfly" double neck model was available to accommodate both necks (Model 6025). Controls for this instrument are located on top of detachable center block.
