- offset double cutaway mahogany body with beveled edges based on the solidbody Corvette, padded back, mahogany neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, Tone Twister vibrato, body matching peghead with logo, three-per-side tuners with plastic buttons, adj. bridge, trapeze tailpiece, pickguard with "Princess" logo, single HiLo'Tron pickup, two knobs (v, tone), gold hardware, available in Blue with white pickguard, Pink with white pickguard, or White with grape (purple) or gold pickguard finish, 13.5 in. body width, 1.5 in. body depth, 24.375 in. scale, mfg. 1963 only.
This Princess was advertised in the 1963 catalog as "The only guitar and amplifier ensemble designed for the feminine guitarist." The guitar itself featured a shorter scale, lightweight body, and "feminine" colors. The amplifier was covered in white and featured 1-8 in. Jensen speaker. It was sold as a complete package with the guitar, Princess amplifier, guitar case, and amplifier cover. Only fifty of these combos were reportedly produced and very few amplifiers have survived today.
