- double round cutaway bound maple body, arched top, two f-holes, maple neck, 22-fret with zero fretbound rosewood fingerboard with pearl thumbnail inlay, dot inlay above 12th fret (1969-1972), blackface peghead with nameplate, three-per-side tuners with plastic buttons, roller bridge, G logo trapeze tailpiece, two SuperTron pickups, control layout #3 (three knobs, three switches), chrome hardware, available in Cherry Red (Model 6103) or Sunburst (Model 6102) finish, 16 in. body width, 2 in. body depth, mfg. 1969-1975.
In 1972, the dot fingerboard inlays from the 15th fret and up and the headstock nameplate were removed, a tune-o-matic bridge was introduced, the Model 6102 was renumbered 7565, and the Model 6103 was renumbered 7566. In 1973, Sunburst finish was disc.
