- rosewood back and sides, spruce top, rosewood binding, oval soundhole, pickguard on treble side with pointed end, ebony fingerboard with dot inlay, ebony bridge, nickel tailpiece, solid headstock with four-per-side nickel tuners, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1914-1995.
This model was only available with rosewood back and sides until 1917 when it was replaced with a bent top and mahogany back and sides. In 1919, the front and back became bound with rosewood. In 1935, the binding changed to Fiberloid. In 1937, a shaded top became standard. In 1955 rosewood replaced ebony in the fingerboard and bridge, the binding was changed to dark plastic, and Natural became standard color again.
