MARTIN D-41 Description

- dreadnought body style, solid spruce top, solid Brazilian rosewood (1969 only) or East Indian rosewood back and sides, round soundhole with Style 45 abalone pearl rosette, white body binding, abalone pearl top inlays, Style 45 mosaic back purfling, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret bound ebony fingerboard with abalone hexagon inlays, bound headstock with East Indian rosewood overlay and Style 45 abalone pearl logo, three-per-side gold tuners, ebony bridge, tortoise color pickguard, available in Natural Gloss finish, 25.4 in. scale, mfg. 1969-present.

In 1986, Martin introduced an adjustable U-bar truss rod as standard equipment on the D-41; however, they also offered a non-adjustable square bar truss rod through the early 1990s and these guitars are stamped D-41Q (total production of seven instruments). Martin also offered the D-41N with a standard neck.
