- single sharp cutaway hollow body, arched bound solid spruce top, two f-holes, laminated maple back and sides, three-piece mahogany/maple neck, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays, blackface headstock with G logo/inlay, three-per-side tuners, adj. rosewood bridge, trapeze tailpiece, raised bound black pickguard, nickel-plated hardware, available in Blonde (CA-100B) or Sunburst (CA-100) finish, 16.375 in. body width, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1956-1973.
In 1957, a Chesterfield crown and column headstock logo/inlay was introduced. In 1960, a harp tailpiece was introduced. Blonde finish was available between 1961 and 1972.
