- single round cutaway semi-hollow maple body, arched top, bound body, f-holes, raised white pickguard with logo, mahogany neck, 21-fret ebony fingerboard with pearloid thumbnail inlay, blackface peghead with logo inlay, peghead mounted nameplate with engraved diamond, three-per-side tuners, roller bridge/G logo trapeze tailpiece, covered pickup, volume control on cutaway bout, three-position tone switch, chrome hardware, available in Sunburst (Model 6124), Two-Tone Green (Model 6125), or Two-Tone Tan (Model 6125) finish, 16 in. body width, 2.5 in. body depth, 24.5 in. scale, mfg. 1958-1972.

In mid-1959, a nameplate logo was introduced on the headstock. In 1960, a rosewood fingerboard replaced ebony and a Hi-Lo 'Tron pickup replaced the Filter 'Tron. In 1963, thumbprint fingerboard inlays were introduced, and Two-Tone Tan finish became available and shared the model number 6125 with Two-Tone Green.
