The earliest models will not have a nameplate on the headstock. In 1960, Hi-Lo 'Tron pickups replaced Filter 'Trons. In 1961, stereo output became optional as the Anniversary Stereo model. It was offered in Sunburst (Model 6111) and Two Tone Green (Model 6112) until 1963. In 1963, a bound fingerboard was added, palm vibrato optional, and stereo output was disc. In 1963, Two Tone Tan finish became available and shared the model number 6118 with Two-Tone Green. In 1971, the Sunburst finish model became 7560. In 1972, the f-holes were made smaller, an adj. bridge replaced the roller bridge, the peghead nameplate was removed, and Two-Tone Green finish was disc. In 1973, the control layout was revised with all three knobs moved to the lower bass bout, and one switch on the upper treble bout, and a trapeze tailpiece was introduced. In 1974, block fingerboard inlays replaced thumbnail inlays.
