GIBSON STARBURST/STARBURST STANDARD/SUNBURST FLAME (MODEL ASSF) Description
- single pointed cutaway jumbo body, solid maple top, solid figured maple back and sides, multi-ply top and back body binding, round soundhole with multi-ring rosette, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with multi star MOP inlays, pearl headstock logo and multiple star inlays, three-per-side gold tuners, bowed rosewood bridge with three star inlays on the bass side, no pickguard, piezo pickup and preamp, available in Antique Natural, Amber, Black Cherry, Blue, Cherry, Gray, Green, Peach, Purple, or Red finish, 24.75 in. scale, special hardshell case included, mfg. 1992-94.
This model was introduced as the Starburst and shortly changed to the Starburst Standard and Starburst Flame depending on the finish.
