- double cutaway SG-style mahogany body with beveled edges, set mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, black headstock overlay with Gibson logo, three-per-side tuners, wraparound bridge/tailpiece, black triangular pickguard, two black plastic covered mini humbucker pickups or two full-size humbucker pickups, black semi-circular control plate with two knobs (v, tone), two pickup slider switches, and output jack, chrome hardware, available in Cherry or Walnut finish, total production of 2,988 instruments (1,629 in Cherry finish, 1,298 in Walnut finish, and 61 with full-size humbucker pickups), mfg. 1972-76.
