- similar to the Les Paul Junior Double Cutaway, except has "Les Paul TV Model" silkscreened on the headstock in yellow and a Limed Mahogany TV finish, mfg. 1958-1959.

The TV designation refers to the finishes that Gibson applied at the time to the wood, making the instrument stand out better on black and white television with more contrast. A few of these guitars were made with a 3/4 size body. In 1958, double round cutaway body and multi-layer pickguard replaced original part/design. In 1959, the double rounded cutaway horns was renamed the SG TV (see SG Series later in text).
