- similar to the MK-II(A), except has an effects loop and Mesa/Boogie's patented optional Simul-Class system, serial numbers 5,575-11,000, mfg. 1980-83.
Mesa/Boogie's patetened Simul-Class power tube system utilized two separate sets of power amp tubes instead of running all four the same way. In Simul-Class Two 6L6 tubes operate in Class AB pentode and two other 6L6 or EL34 power tubes operate in Class A triode. Simul-Class was optional on the Mark IIB, and models without it will have the standard 60W/100W power switch.
