MARTIN MODEL 5-15T Description
- tenor configuration, Size 5 body, mahogany top, back, and sides, round soundhole with three thin W/B/W rings, no binding, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with single dot inlays, two-per-side tuners, rectangular bridge, available in Natural non-gloss finish, 22 in. scale, total production of 1,325 instruments, mfg. 1949-1963.
The Model 5-15T and the Model 5-17T are very similar with the only difference being non-gloss finish versus gloss finish. However, there was no overlap in production so dating by serial number will provide an accurate year and model of guitar.
