MARTIN M-38/0000-38 Description
- Grand Auditorium 0000 body style, solid Sitka spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, round soundhole with three-stripe Style 45 abalone pearl rosette (5/9/5 grouping), seven-ply top binding, three-ply back binding with white outer layer, zipper pattern back strip, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, bound headstock with rosewood overlay and gold foil logo, three-per-side chrome tuners, rosewood bridge, white bridge pins with black dots, tortoise pickguard, available in Natural finish, 25.4 in. scale, mfg. 1978-1997, reintroduced 2007-2011.
For 1997 and 1997 only, the M-38 model was redesignated the 0000-38. When this guitar was reintroduced in 2007, it was called the M-38. Martin also offered the M-38N with a standard neck (early 1990s).
