MARTIN HD-28VS Description
- 12-fret dreadnought body style, solid Sitka spruce top, solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, standard "X" scalloped bracing, round soundhole with Style 28 three-stripe rosette (5/9/5 grouping), grained ivoroid binding, bold herringbone top inlay, B/W boltaron back inlay, zigzag pattern back purfling, select hardwood neck, 12/19-fret ebony fingerboard with long pattern square and diamond pearl inlays, slotted headstock with rosewood overlay and raised gold foil logo, three-per-side Waverly nickel side-mount tuners with butterbean knobs, vintage ebony belly bridge with drop-in long saddle, white bridge pins with tortoise dots, beveled tortoise pickguard, available in Natural or Sunburst polished gloss finish with Aging Toner top, 25.4 in. scale, mfg. 1996-2015.
Before 1996 and before the Vintage Series was created, this model existed as the Custom HD-28S (See Standard Dreadnought Series).
