- folk body style, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, round soundhole with four rings, multi-ply body binding, three-piece mahogany neck, 14/20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with eight pearloid block inlays, black headstock with Chesterfield and logo inlay, three-per-side chrome tuners, rosewood bridge, Bluegrass (horses and horseshoe design) or regular tortoiseshell pickguard, available in Natural finish, 16 in. body width, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 1963-1976.
This guitar is very similar to the F-40 that was discontinued in the same year, with the exception of mahogany back and sides.
