GRETSCH 6150 COMPACT Description
- 5W, 1-8 in. speaker, all tube chassis, preamp: 12AX7, power: 6V6, rectifier: 5V3, single channel, back brown control panel, two or three inputs, one volume knob, available in at least three variations (1st Electromatic style, 2nd Electromatic style, Standard Box style), mfg. mid 1950s-1968.
It is possible that the 6150 Compact and the 6151 Electromatic Standard are the same models with different numbers. In the Blue Book of Guitar Amplfiers, we assume that the Compact did not appear until after 1955 therefore the first covering would be the 1st Electromatic style.
