- super jumbo style, solid Sitka spruce top, Eastern curly maple back and sides, round soundhole with rosette, six-ply top binding, four-ply back binding, black and white checker board marquetry, Eastern curly maple rounded neck, 14/20-fret ebony single-ply bound with birdsbeak fingerboard, MOP block inlays, single-ply bound black headstock with Gibson logo and special MOP wheat and banner inlays, three-per-side gold Imperial tuners, ebony moustache bridge with MOP bar inlays and white pins, tortoiseshell J-200 pickguard with Montana Gold logo and wheat, available in Antique Natural finish, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 2007-2012.
This model was designed by Ren Ferguson. 48 guitars were scheduled for production in 2007. Gibson's Montana Gold Custom model has a special serialization system of MG YNNNY, where the first and last digits indicate the last two digits of the year it was produced and the middle three are the production ranking for that year.
