- symmetrical double cutaway traditional SG-style mahogany body, sculpted top and back, set mahogany neck, 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlays, matching finish headstock with silver or gold truss rod cover, three-per-side Keystone Grover tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, no pickguard, two covered humbucker pickups (bridge: BurstBucker Pro 2, neck: BurstBucker Pro 1), no space between the neck pickup and the fingerboard, two silver or gold top hat knobs (v, tone), three-way pickup switch, jack on face of guitar, silver (Silver finish only) or gold (Metallic Red finish) hardware, available in Metallic Red or Silver finish, 24.75 in. scale, limited edition with a total production of 2,000 instruments (1,000 of each color finish), mfg. 2008 only.
The Metallic Red finished SG Diablo was the February 2008 Guitar of the Month and the Silver finished SG Diablo was the December 2008 Guitar of the Month.
