- symmetrical body shape, various wood types, oval soundhole with two wood rings, ebony fingerboard with dot inlay, paddle shape peghead, four-per-side tuners, available in Golden Orange or Brown finish, mfg. 1902-1918, 1922-27, and 1933-1943.
In circa 1905, a non-paddle headstock was introduced.In 1908, the pickguard became elevated. In 1922 when the Model A-1 was reintroduced, there was only one ring around the soundhole and it featured a Brown finish. In 1923, the snakehead peghead was introduced. When the Model A-1 was reintroduced again in 1933, it featured a bound top, Sunburst finish,and a standard headstock. In 1934, f-holes were introduced.
