Gibson had Jimmy Page play the first 25 guitars in this series and after playing them, he picked the best one and Gibson numbered it #1 and gave it to Page. The remaining 24 guitars were numbered from 2 to 25 and 21 were sold through Guitar Center, one to Canada, one to the U.K., and one to Japan.
