GIBSON FLYING V PRIMAVERA (1994 MFG.) Description
- V-shaped Primavera body based on the 1967 Flying V, Primavera neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, arrow-shaped headstock with a large white truss rod cover with a raised Gibson logo, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, large white pickguard, two covered humbucker pickups, three knobs (two v, tone) mounted in a triangular pattern, three-way switch, chrome or gold hardware, available in Antique Natural, Trans. Blue, Trans. Green, Trans. Purple, or Trans. Red/Orange, mfg. 1994 only.
This guitar was called the Primavera model due to the type of wood used for its construction. This wood is from a Central American tree that exhibits a yellowish white color, often called white mahogany. It is slightly less dense than most mahogany and is technically unrelated to the species.
