- V-shaped two-piece (early models) or three-piece (later models) Honduras mahogany body, three-piece Honduras mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, 1.5625 in. nut width, pointed V-shaped headstock with large white truss rod cover with Gibson logo and three-per-side Gibson Deluxe tuners with metal tulip buttons, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, large white pickguard that covers most of the body, two patent number decal pickups with no pickup rings, three witch hat black knobs in triangle configuration (two v, master tone), a three-way pickup switch, and a regular input jack all mounted on the pickguard, chrome hardware, available in Black, Bahama Blue, Candy Apple Red, Natural, Red, Red Metallic, Silver Sky, Silverburst, Sunburst, or White finish, 1.3125 in. body depth, 3223 instruments shipped between 1975 and 1979, shipping totals unknown between 1980 and 1982, mfg. 1975-1982.
The headstock gets progressively less pointed thoughout production. Later models have stamped patent number pickups.
