FENDER MUSICMASTER BASS Description

- 12W, 1-12 in. speaker, tube chassis preamp: 12AX7, power: 2 X 6V6GTA, silverface control panel, two black plastic knobs with silver skirts, (v, tone), black tolex covering, silver grille, mfg. 1970-1982.

The Musicmaster is one of the earliest versions using a phase inverter. Around 1976, the nameplate lost the tail. In 1982, blackface was reintroduced for its final year of existence. This model was replaced by the Bassman 20. Later models may utilize 6AQ5A power tubes.
