FENDER 1997 COLLECTOR'S EDITION STRATOCASTER (U.S. MFG. NO. 010-1997) Description
- offset double cutaway alder body, bolt-on tinted maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and oval-shaped 1997 pearl inlay at 12th fret, six-on-one-side tuners, vintage-style vibrato, tortoiseshell pickguard, three Texas Special single coil pickups, three knobs (v, two tone), five-position switch, gold hardware, available in 3-Tone Sunburst nitrocellulose finish, mfg. 1997 only.
Production was scheduled for only 1,997 instruments and it was loosely based on a 1962 reissue Stratocaster. A brown tolex hardshell case was included with the guitar.
