FENDER 400 PS BASS Description
- 435W, head-unit that has a metal stand, 18 in. horn cabinet separate from the head, tube chassis, preamp: 6 X 7025, 12AT7, power: 6 X 6550, black control panel, four input jacks (two bass, two normal), bass and bright switches, 11 numbered knobs (Bass: v, t, b, Norm: v, t, m, b, r, s, i, MV), three power output jacks, black tolex covering, black foam grille, mfg. 1970-75.
The three output jacks boasted to have each 145W output, when you could get all the power out of one. There were three amplifers within the model and they all came together to drive the massive cabinet. This was Fender´s response to the power race in bass amplifiers in the 1970s.
