- carved spruce top, round soundhole, raised black pickguard, one stripe rosette, bound body, maple back/sides, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, adjustable rosewood bridge/nickel trapeze tailpiece, bound peghead with pearl wedge/logo inlay, three-per-side nickel tuners, available in Sunburst finish, 16.375 in. body width, mfg. 1934-1949.
In 1936, carved back added to design; f-holes, walnut back/sides, block fingerboard inlay, Greek column/logo peghead inlay replaced original part/designs. In 1939, center dip peghead replaced original part/design. In 1941, white mahogany back/sides replaced original part/design, Blonde finish was an option. In 1947, plastic inlay material was used instead of pearl and a notched, diamond peghead inlay was introduced. For historical interest, this instrument originally sold for $100.
