- carved spruce top, f-holes, raised black pickguard, bound body, maple back/sides, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, adjustable rosewood bridge/trapeze tailpiece, blackface peghead, three-per-side single unit nickel tuners with plastic buttons, available in Sunburst finish, 13.625 in. body width, mfg. 1931-1958.
In 1933, single binding on the top and back, a black raised pickguard, square end fingerboard with dot inlay, a rounded top peghead with Zenith logo engraved diagonally were introduced. In 1934, 14.375 in. body width, walnut back/sides replaced original part/designs, pearl wedge/logo peghead inlay, three tuners on a strip, were introduced, and sunburst finish was an option. In 1936, 16.375 in. body width, cello f-holes with squared edges, diamond/script logo peghead inlay, and individual tuners were introduced. In 1939 a center dip peghead was introduced. By 1949, maple back and sides were introduced and Blond finish became available. In 1950, f-holes with painted corners were introduced. In 1951, a pearl oval peghead inlay was introduced. This instrument originally sold for $50.
