- slightly offset double cutaway mahogany body, bound highly figured carved maple top, abalone body binding, through-body mahogany neck, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with abalone oval inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, chrome hardware, bound blackface peghead with pearl logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, two Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro humbucker pickups, three controls, three-position switch, available in Butterscotch Sun, Cherry Sunburst, Trans. Black, Trans. Magenta, or Trans. Red finish, 24.625 in. scale, disc. 1999.
This model was originally available in Burgundy Pearl, Cream, Emerald Green, Gold, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Porsche Red, Solid Black, Solid White, Tropical Blue, and Violet finishes (current colors were introduced in 1998). This model was briefly available with an unbound fingerboard and headstock (this option, discontinued in 1998, originally had a retail list price of $2,150).
