- slightly offset double cutaway mahogany body, highly figured carved maple top, bolt-on maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlay, tele-ish bridge, chrome hardware, blackface peghead with pearl logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, single coil/humbucker pickups, volume/tone controls, five-way selector, control plate, available in Burgundy Pearl, Cream, Emerald Green, Gold, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Porsche Red, Solid Black, Solid White, Tropical Blue, Trans. Red, or Violet finish, 24.625 in. scale, disc. 1999.
Later production models may feature an alder or poplar body and rosewood fingerboard. This model was also available with two humbucker pickups, volume/tone controls, and three-way pickup switch as the Model EXB O.
