This was the first Portaflex amplifier specifically designed for guitars, and it had a separate speaker cabinet for echo dimension (reverb) that had an oval speaker (early models) or 2-4 in. speakers (later models) that would fit inside the Portaflex cabinet. The reverb circuit was driven by one 6SN7 preamp tube and one 6V6 power tube. Later models were available with a Lansing speaker and called the B-12XL.
