- offset double cutaway semi-hollow maple body, wedge-shaped soundhole, pickguard, through-body maple neck, 21-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl triangle inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/R-style trapeze tailpiece, two single coil pickups, four diamond controls (two v, two tone), three-position switch, wired for stereo, available in Autumnglo, Black, Fireglo, Natural, or Two Tone Brown finish, mfg. 1958-present.
The above description is referred to as the Old Style which ran from 1958 to 1964, and may have still been avaialble through 1968. In 1964, the 360 New Style was released and featured an unbound rounded top, bound soundhole and checkered body binding which ran from 1964 to circa 1990. In the early 1960s, round control knobs and bi-level pickguards began replacing original parts/designs. In 1960, stereo output became optional. In 1963, a small fifth knob (mixer control) was added. In 1969, a 24-fret fingerboard was extended over the body. In the early 1970s, checkered binding was disc. The current mfg. 360 has no body binding or slash f-hole binding.
