PAUL REED SMITH GUITARS (PRS) McCARTY ARCHTOP ARTIST Description
- similar to the McCarty Archtop II, except features carved Artist Grade figured maple top and back, 22-fret Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with 14kt gold-outlined abalone bird inlay, rosewood headstock veneer, gold hardware, includes case, available in Amber, Black Cherry, Black Sunburst, Dark Cherry Sunburst, Gray Black, McCarty Tobacco Sunburst, McCarty Sunburst, Natural, or Tobacco Sunburst finish, mfg. 1998-2002.
This model was available by special order only. "McCarty Archtop Artist" and the instrument´s number in this series is printed on the back of the headstock in gold. This model was also available with either flame or quilt top and back (no extra charge). Optional finishes iuncluded Amber, Black Cherry, Gray Black, McCarty Sunburst, Tiger´s Eye, Turquoise, Violin Amber, and Violin Amber Burst double-stained finishes (no extra charge). The double-stained finishes were only available on the McCarty Archtop Artist model and Private Stock models.
