- offset double cutaway carved alder or mahogany (mfg. 1995-2000) body, bolt-on maple neck, (wide-thin became optional in 1999), 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlay, 25 in. scale, unfaced satin black headstock finish, PRS stoptail (mfg. 1995-2001) or PRS tremolo system, 3-per-side PRS locking tuners, chrome hardware, 2 humbucker PRS pickups (one HFS and one Vintage Bass, new 1991), volume/tone control, 5-position rotary switch (1st year issue had 3-way switch with large bat), available in Black, Black Sunburst, Classic Red, Natural, Pearl Black, or Vintage Cherry finish, mfg. 1988-1999.
In 1998, Translucent Green, Translucent Orange, Translucent Purple, Translucent Turquoise, Translucent Walnut, and (Translucent) Vintage Cherry finishes were introduced; Black, Classic Red, and Pearl Black finishes were disc. This model is available in the following 1998 custom opaque colors: Antique White, Black, Seafoam Green, Ocean Turquoise, Cabernet Metallic, Deep Purple Metallic, Forest Green Metallic, Old Gold Metallic, Orange Mica Pearl Metallic, Platinum Metallic, Royal Blue Metallic, and Strawberry Pearl Metallic finishes.
The most desirable configuration in this model is with one-piece top and rare colors.
