MARTIN 0-21 Description

- concert body style, solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, round soundhole with three ring rosette (5/herringbone/5 grouping between 1898 and 1947, 1/9/1 grouping between 1947 and 1948), five-ply top binding, two-ply back binding with rosewood (1898-1932), black (1932-1936), or tortoise (1936-1948) outer layer, herringbone backstripe, cedar (1898-1916) or mahogany (1916-1948) neck, 12/19-fret ebony (1898-1941) or rosewood (1941-48) fingerboard with slotted diamond inlays (1898-1944) or pearl dot inlays (1944-48), slotted headstock, three-per-side open-style brass tuners with ivory buttons, pyramid ebony bridge, ebony bridge pins with pearl dots, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1898-1948.

Three 0-21s were produced with 14-fret body styles and fingerboards and a solid headstock in 1930. Martin also produced one 0-21 in Hawaiian configuration (Model 0-21H, 1918 only) and one 0-21 in plectrum configuration (Model 0-21P, 1929 only).
