GUILD F-50 R Navarre/JF-65R Description
- similar to the F-50 Navarre, except has rosewood back and sides, mfg. 1965-1987.
Brazilian rosewood was used on the back and sides until circa 1969. In 1966 a "cloud" bridge with two points was introduced. In 1967 the body was deepend to 5 in. In 1969, a rosewood bridge was introduced. Around 1970, some guitars had a flat laminated back with one-piece mahogany necks. Around 1972, some guitars were constructed with ebony bridges and three-piece padouk/maple necks and black pickguards were introduced. Around 1977, some guitars had three-piece mahogany/maple necks. In 1987, this model was renamed the JF-65R.
