GIBSON US-1 Description
- offset double cutaway basswood body, bound maple top/back, balsa wood core, ebony fingerboard with double triangle inlays, hockey stick-style headstock with six-on-one-side tuners, one humbucker and two stacked coil humbuckers (with no visible pole pieces), tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece or Kahler vibrato with locking nut, two knobs, three mini-switches, gold hardware, available in Ebony, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Natural, or Pearl White finish, mfg. 1987-1991.
In 1988, a Steinberger KB tremolo was introduced with a coil tap switch on one of the knobs. This model was designed by Wayne Charvel.
