GIBSON SG JR. Description

- double cutaway mahogany body (same size as SG Standard), mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, three-per-side tuners with plastic buttons, nickel hardware, black pickguard, single coil pickup, volume/tone control, available in White or Cherry finish, mfg. 1963-1970.

In 1963, the Les Paul Jr. was renamed the SG Jr. In 1965, vibrato became standard. During 1966, a black soapbar pickup and a pickguard that surrounded the pickup was introduced.
