- V-shaped alder body, maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, upside down V-shaped blackface headstock with gold Gibson logo, bell truss rod cover with "V Bass" logo, two-per-side tuners, combination bridge/tailpiece, black pickguard, two humbucker bass pickups with black covers, three knobs in a triangle configuration (two v, tone), three-way pickup switch, chrome hardware, available in Blue, Ebony, Ivory, Natural, Silverburst, or White Silverburst finish, 30.5 in. scale, mfg. 1981-82.
It is estimated that only 300 to 400 of these models were built.
