- spruce top, round soundhole, two tortoiseshell pickguards, two-stripe bound body/rosette, maple back/sides, one-piece mahogany neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl star inlay, reverse belly adjustable bridge with pearl dot inlay, blackface peghead with pearl star/logo inlay, three-per-side gold tuners, available in Black, Cherry Sunburst, Natural top/Red back/sides, or Natural top/Walnut back/sides (rare, approx. 45 mfg. 1963 only) finishes, approx. 440 mfg. 1962-1971.
This model also known as Model J-180. In 1968, black pickguards, Natural Top/Walnut Back/Sides finish replaced original part/design.
