- similar to the Chet Atkins CE, except has an ebony fingerboard and 2 in. nut width, available in Antique Natural, Cedar (1994-95), Ebony, or Wine Red (1990-2002) finish, mfg. late 1981-2005.
This model was produced in Nashville until 2002 when production moved to Montana through 2005. Approximately the first 1,000 instruments were stamped with a unique serial number consisting of a letter prefix followed by three digits. This series started with A 001, ran through A 100 then switched to B 001, ran through B 100 all the way up to K 100.
