- V-shaped Korina body based on the original 1958/1959 Flying V, korina neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, arrow-shaped black headstock with black bell-shaped truss rod cover and verical Gibson logo, three-per-side tuners with plastic buttons, tune-o-matic bridge, V-shaped metal tailpiece, white pickguard, two '57 Classic humbucker pickups, three knobs (two v, tone) mounted in a straight line, three-way pickup switch, input jack mounted on a round white plate, gold hardware, available in Natural finish, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1991-2014.
This model is a very accurate reproduction of the original Flying V with correct neck joints, heel caps, chevron grain pattern, chunky neck, late 50s-style Gibson frets, and an authentic-looking case. Gibson has called this guitar both a 1958 reissue and a 1959 reissue, but they are the exact same design.
