G & L L-2500 FIVE-STRING Description
- five-string configuration, offset double cutaway basswood body, swamp ash top, bolt-on hard rock maple neck, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays or rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, 3/2-per-side tuners, G&L Saddle Lock bridge, STB optional, no pickguard, two G&L Magnetic Field humbucker pickups, three knobs (v, t, b), three mini switches (pickup, series/parallel, preamp control), active/passive electronics, chrome hardware, available in various finishes, mfg. 1995-present.
In 1998, STB option was introduced and the 3/2-per-side headstock was redesigned, eliminating the string retainer.
