The Asat Super was inspired by and is very similar to the Asat Junior Limited Edition that was built in G&L's Custom Creations Department in 1998. This is a special build instrument - not factory cataloged or in G&L's price list - and the initial run of 60 instruments were built in May and June of 2004. As of April 1, 2007, 74 ASAT Specials had been built and in 2010, another small run were built for distribution in the UK and Germany.
