FENDER STANDARD PRECISION BASS (MEX. MFG. NO. 013/014-6000/6100/6102) Description

- offset double cutaway Precision Bass-style poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, 20-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays (6102, 2009-present) or rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays (6000/6100), Precision Bass-style headstock, four-on-one-side tuners, Precision bridge with individual saddles, three-ply white pickguard, single P-style pickup, two knobs (v, tone), chrome hardware, available in Arctic White, Black, Blue Agave (2002-05), Brown Sunburst (1994-present), Candy Apple Red (2009-present), Chrome Red (2006-08), Crimson Red Metallic (disc. 1998), Electron Blue (2006-08), Lake Placid Blue (disc. 1998, 2009-present), Midnight Blue (1998-2001), Midnight Wine (1998-2008), or Sage Green Metallic (2002-05) finish, 34 in. scale, mfg. 1988-present.

The Standard Jazz Bass Series was renumbered 013-6100 in 2001 (previously 013-6000). In 2006, an upgraded model was introduced with medium-jumbo frets, shielded electronics for reduced hum, and comes with a gig-bag. In 2009, a tinted neck, parchment pickguard and knobs, and a 70s-style logo were introduced, and a maple fingerboard became optional. In 2012, the Standard Precision Bass no longer came standard with a gig bag.
